Christmas 2012

It's been a wonderful Christmas in Nova Scotia. My sister arrived from Edinburgh, and almost as soon as she got here, we traveled west to a cabin by the sea at a lodge called White Point. The first two pictures show what the cabin and the lodge looked like, and the third shows the view from our front window (minus us, if we were the ones looking!).

After getting back to Halifax, we went to a fun Christmas Eve service, and Alison and Will made nice Christmas tree decorations at the last minute. On Christmas morning, Ben enjoyed opening his lovely gifts from family near and far. That night we had a group of friends over for Christmas, including 2-week old baby Alastair. The evening ended with a hectic game of "too many balls" (soccer in the hallway with 3 little boys).

After Chirstmas, Ben learned about the joys of sliding on ice patches by the sea. He went skating for the first time, and Will went skating for the second time (he actually enjoyed it this time, too!). Add that to yummy food and movies, and it's been a great break. We look forward to hearing about your Christmas and New Years celebrations!
