Lots of change!

January and February flew by this year! We had a Robert Burns night party in late January, and have never bashed so many neeps and tatties. Ben wore his British top to celebrate.

We've also been cross-country skiing a few times, including one beautiful Saturday in February when Aimee was visiting from Ontario. It was so nice to have Aimee with us for a few weeks. The highlight was a team road trip to Briar Island, off the west coast of Nova Scotia.

Ben has been changing so much recently. His legs are very strong, and he absolutely loves his Jolly Jumper. He is also using his hands to pick up and hold objects all the time. His vocabulary has expanded from "ah goo" to include high pitched pterodactyl-like noises, which he makes throughout the day regardless of his mood. He's definitely an active little person, and loves to be out doing things and meeting new people. Unfortunately, he's also been a bit too active at night lately, getting up up to 7 times!

By far the most exciting and overwhelming change over the past few months has been becoming house owners. Thanks to advice and support from family and friends, we've finally taken the plunge and bought a 3-bedroom 100-year old home in central Halifax. We really like the place, and can't wait to move in on March 11th. We're hoping to have lots of visitors!
